Community makes it possible
With the importance of family in mind Rich River Produce takes a part in local non-profit organizations, giving back to the community that has given so much.
It Takes a Big Heart is a local non-profit organization founded in 2018. It Takes a Big Heart's mission is to help children in our community; by providing them with clothing, school supplies, toys, and scholarships. 40.3% of the children in the community are in poverty; many in which lack the basic necessities. Our local children will receive clothing such as shoes, jackets, shirts, pants, and/or school uniforms. In addition, It Takes a Big Heart also provides scholarships for the top-ranking students in our community.
Jesus M. Cordova Foundation
In 2019 Jesus M. Cordova was killed in the line of duty while serving his community of Nogales. Members of local law enforcement agencies formed the Jesus M. Cordova Foundation which is now a non-profit organization in order to provide resources to the community of Santa Cruz County and provide scholarships to the communities high school seniors. This non-profit holds softball and golf tournaments along with many other events to bring the community together along with keeping Officers Cordova's memory alive.
